In the evening: Enjoy Buenos Aires’ nightlife with a Tango dinner-show

After a marvellous introduction to Buenos Aires city and a free afternoon, get ready to enjoy nightlife in Buenos Aires.

When the start time is reached, a transfer will pick you up from your hotel to head to the heart of San Telmo, the city’s old town, where one of the oldest and more authentic tanguerías is located. Once there, you will be able to appreciate all of the talk around this restored tenement, a classic of Buenos Aires architectural culture.

The show is a visit to good old times when tango music was the calling from the artist’s soul. The building’s pure interior is the ideal ambiance for a traditional tango and folk music show that includes two typical orchestras: The great orchestra of Juan D´Arienzo and a quintet. Two tango singers and six dancing couples accompany the orchestra.

Enjoy the music of the “Altiplano” (the North of Argentina that borders Bolivia) and a folklore ballet with a show of “boleadoras” (formerly used by “gauchos” or Argentinian cowboys as hunting slings). Watch the artists on stage while you dine on a menu of local and international dishes and exquisite Argentine wines.

Day 2

During the day: Explore Buenos Aires’ most incredible natural wonder

Get away from the hustle and bustle of the city and explore nature and history-rich parts of the greater Buenos Aires metropolitan area that you will likely miss otherwise in a half-day tour featuring an incredible and relaxing river cruise and a delicious authentic snack with convenient pick-up and drop-off at your hotel.

In this exciting and fun-filled half-day tour our team of reliable and professional drivers and very passionate, informative, knowledgeable, and helpful tour guides with excellent English skills will take you in a small group of no more than 12 guests on an epic adventure that offers the perfect balance between nature and history.

After hotels pick-up, you will cruise the widest river in the world while getting spectacular views of Buenos Aires skyline from the waters of the “Río de la Plata”.

After one hour of navigation through the wider river, you will arrive at the Parana River’s Delta, a magic place that truly feels like a fantasy land. Once in the Delta, the boat ride continues through a series of narrow channels and islands, a popular weekend getaway for “Porteños” (residents of Buenos Aires) and an everyday home to thousands of “isleños” (islanders). A unique experience where your eyes will be delighted with the majestic scenery (that is very different from anything you have seen before) while you get to learn all about the locals who live along the peaceful channels with boats as their only means of transportation.

At lunchtime, the boat will drop you off at Tigre, a major city within Buenos Aires suburbs, where you will enjoy a very authentic snack including “empanadas” (local pasties) and drinks in a beautiful and historical venue that belongs to the Italian Rowing Club of Tigre City.

For the rest of the tour, on board of a comfortable vehicle, you will drive you through the northern suburbs of Buenos Aires to give you an overview of what life is like in the outskirts of Argentina’s capital city, home to about 25% of the total population of the country. Along the ride, you will visit several sites, including the Fruit’s Market (a type of bazaar where locals shop for home goods and where you can find some great souvenirs that feel authentic) and San Isidro City (where you will get the chance to visit the district’s marvelous neogothic cathedral).

Once time is up you will be driven back to Buenos Aires city, where you have the chance to stay somewhere on the way to keep exploring Argentina’s most fascinating city or to be taken back to your hotel.

At Signature Tours we consider this to be a must-see in Buenos Aires area, as it offers you the unique possibility to experience something completely different without having to travel far away from the city.

In the evening: Learn about Argentinean gastronomy in a hands-on cooking class and wine tasting

Learn to make the most famous Latin American street food: Argentine empanadas. These are easy to make and delicious to eat. Enjoy them for breakfast, lunch, or dinner, served as an appetizer or main dish. In this hands-on cooking class you will get the chance to cook your local host who will share with you how to make Argentine empanadas from scratch, in an interactive and approachable way.

In addition to that, you will get the chance to take your wine tasting skills to the nest level.

The world loves Malbec. Originally from France, this black-skinned grape became synonymous with Argentina, where ripe, juicy bottlings from Mendoza turned it into a household name. Today, Argentina leads production of the grape with over 75% of all the acres of Malbec in the world.

Your host will introduce you to the history of wine making in the nation and how Argentina’s three main vineyard regions (Patagonia, Mendoza, and Salta) differ when it comes to nuances in flavour. Learn about local varietals, such as torrontés, as well as the malbecs Argentina has rightfully become famous for.

Day 3

During the day: Head to an Argentinian Estancia to learn about the Gaucho culture

Explore the countryside of Buenos Aires and learn all about the gauchos and ranch life on the Pampas in an exciting full-day tour that includes visits to a historical rural town and silversmith museum, visits to a ranch, loads of food and wine, dancing, horseback-riding, gaucho horse skills display, and convenient pick-up and drop-off at your hotel.

In this exciting and fun-filled full-day tour our team of reliable and professional drivers and very passionate, informative, knowledgeable, and helpful tour guides with excellent English skills will take you in a small group of no more than 12 guests on an epic adventure into the world of the Gauchos (The men of the Pampas) and show you the beauties of Argentina’s countryside.

This tour is a good opportunity to get out of the city of Buenos Aires and into the Pampas (the vast flatlands of Argentina) to live a variety of unique experiences that complement what you can see and do in the capital city.

After hotels pick-up, you will leave Argentina’s largest city behind and dive into a completely different world on the way to San Antonio de Areco, a small town dating back to 1730 known as “the cradle of culture and tradition” in Argentina.

The drive out to the Pampas will go quickly as your tour guide will fill in details of life in Argentina and what to expect at the town and the ranch, bringing the landscape around to life with their live commentary providing history, geography, cultural facts, and information.

Once in Areco, you will get off the vehicle and visit the Draghi museum which is family-run and operated, featuring some of the best silversmiths in the world. This is the perfect place to learn about Latin American silverwork and get a deep understanding of the gaucho’s particular dress style and working tools.

After your visit, you will get back to the vehicle and head off to the ‘estancia’ (ranch), a beautiful and large property that operates as a farm focusing mainly on cattle-breeding and grain-growing.

Upon arrival at El Ombú ranch, you will be greeted with joy by the gauchos and served with welcome drinks and some of the best ’empanadas’ (local pasties) you will eat in the entire world.

You will also have time to try some laid-back completely suitable for beginners horseback-riding or wagon-riding guided by the gauchos ensuring each rider’s safety, or if you prefer spend this pre-lunch time wandering around the ranch, enjoying the beautiful scenery and taking pictures.

We strongly suggest you “come to this tour hungry” as for lunch you will be treated to a real Argentinean meat feast featuring the national dish: asado. You will be served a wide variety of grilled beef cuts, sausages, and other local treats, altogether with chimichurri sauce, salads, bread, and freely flowed wine (if you are vegan/vegetarian no need to worry as they also offer meat-less and vegan alternatives).  Dessert does not fall behind featuring different options served along with a cup of coffee (very much needed to stay up and engaged after so much food).

The afternoon begins with a display of singing and dancing from folk who live in this region, very different from Tango (found in the city), and if you are confident enough you can also give it a try and learn a couple of dancing moves to impress your friends and family when going back home.

To wrap up such a wonderful and authentic Argentine experience, one of the gauchos will delight you with a demonstration of how he tames his horse and the confidence they have in each other in an unconventional horse whispering demonstration that is guaranteed to keep you spellbound. Without a doubt, the highlight of this tour.
