Built in 1923 as the tallest building in Argentina and South America, it was designed with allegoric references to the Divine Comedy, by Dante Alighieri, such as Hell, Purgatory and Heaven. It is crowned with a unique lighthouse.

On the 16th floor, the building houses “1923” restaurant, inspired on the 1920s. The magnificent terrace offers unbelievable vistas towards the Parliament, and other areas in the city.

Besides, you can take a tour to the building, where you can reach the lighthouse (22nd floor) and feel that you are close to the sky (check accessibility).

Floridas 165/San Martín 170 – San Nicolás, Buenos Aires

a large building

This is a commercial gallery with entrances on Florida and San Martín streets. Designed in 1913 by the Italian architect Francisco Gianotti, it is one of the jewels in art nouveau style.
