Discover the delightful town of Cafayate, nestled in the stunning Calchaquí Valleys. Renowned for its breathtaking mountain views and lush vineyards, Cafayate is a wine lover’s paradise. Be sure to savor its exquisite Torrontés wine, a true gem of the region!
You’ll venture to the majestic Quebrada de Humahuaca, a UNESCO World Heritage site that will surprise you with its multicolored hills and rich cultural heritage. Here, every corner tells a story, and every landscape is a natural canvas.
Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Salta – Immerse Yourself in the Heart of the City
Ensure a hassle-free journey from your hotel to the airport with our reliable transfer service. Travel in comfort and arrive on time for your flight (If Flight option is selected).

Welcome to Salta La Linda! You should arrive no later than 2:00 pm.
Our designated transfer will welcome you to Salta and provide comfortable transportation from the airport to your centrally located 4-star hotel.
In the afternoon, get ready for a charming tour of Salta. Our guide will pick you up from your hotel, and you will explore the city’s most captivating sites. Stroll through the charming streets of the historic center, stopping to admire iconic landmarks such as the majestic Salta Cathedral, the elegant San Francisco Church, and the lively Plaza 9 de Julio. You’ll immerse yourself in the rich history of the city, its vibrant culture, and impressive architecture. Scend Cerro San Bernardo by cable car for sweeping views that will leave you breathless.
Later we will take you back to your hotel for a restful overnight stay.
Day 2: Full-Day Excursion to Cafayate – Savor the Flavors of Argentina’s Wine Country
Set out on an exhilarating full-day excursion to Cafayate, a picturesque town nestled in the heart of Argentina’s wine country. Journey through breathtaking landscapes as you traverse the scenic route from Salta to Cafayate, admiring rugged mountains, expansive vineyards, and quaint villages along the way.
Upon arrival in Cafayate we invite you to immerse yourself in the fascinating world of Argentine wine. Get ready for an unforgettable sensory experience as you tour two local wineries, where you can delight in the unique aromas and flavors. You will learn closely about the production process and the traditions that make this region a wine paradise.
Also, don’t miss the visit to the Wine Museum, a place where the history and culture of wine come to life (museum closed on Mondays)
Afterward, explore the charming town of Cafayate, known for its colonial architecture, artisan markets, and laid-back atmosphere. Immerse yourself in the beauty and tranquility of the surrounding countryside before returning to Salta in the evening.
Day 3: Full-Day Excursion to Quebrada de Humahuaca – Explore a UNESCO World Heritage Site
Embark on an unforgettable adventure that begins in the charming city of Salta and takes you to explore the stunning Quebrada de Humahuaca, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Get ready to be amazed by breathtaking landscapes surrounded by towns with narrow cobblestone streets and adobe houses, where multicolored hills blend with vibrant, ancestral cultures.
Your journey starts in the picturesque village of Purmamarca, famous for the iconic Cerro de los Siete Colores. This spectacular natural monument is just the beginning of a day full of wonders. We continue to Tilcara, where the local charm and rich history will make you feel part of this magical land.
Next, we’ll cross Huacalera, where you can touch the Tropic of Capricorn, a geographical point that adds a special touch to your experience. We visit to the Church of Uquía, home to the astonishing paintings of the Archangel Angels, a true treasure of the Cuzco School.
We arrived at Humahuaca, located at 2939 meters above sea level., where the imposing Cathedral and the emblematic Monument to Independence, known as El Indio, await you, celebrating the spirit of freedom in the region.
After some free time, you’ll begin your return journey, admiring the spectacular Painter’s Palette from the road, a natural canvas that frames the picturesque village of Maimará.
Finally, we will head back to Salta to enjoy a magical night in this beautiful city.
Day 4: Salta – Morning at Leisure and Transfer Out to Airport
As your time in Salta comes to a close, enjoy a leisurely morning at your hotel before checking out and preparing for your departure.
Your designated transfer will provide seamless transportation from your centrally located hotel to Salta Airport, ensuring a stress-free journey. Depart from Salta with cherished memories of your exploration of Argentina’s Northern Gem, filled with captivating landscapes, cultural discoveries, and unforgettable experiences.

Welcome back to Buenos Aires! After your exciting tour, relax and enjoy a smooth transfer from the airport to your hotel. Our professional driver is ready to ensure a comfortable journey back to your accommodation (If Flight option is selected).

If flight option is selected, we will pick you up at your accommodation in Buenos Aires (centrally located hotels).
If flight option is not selected, we will pick you up at Salta Airport (Aeropuerto Internacional Martín Miguel de Güemes) / Accommodation. Please, you should arrive no later than 2:00 pm.
